Cross-Platform Rules

No Racism / Sexism / Homophobia

  • Hateful conduct is not allowed in any of our spaces, this includes any communication platforms. This rule includes, but is not limited to:

    • Racial Slurs or racially targeted language

    • Sexist remarks or gender-based discrimination

    • Homophobic, transphobic, or otherwise prejudiced language targeting any group.

  • This applies in character and out of character. Using “It’s just RP” is not a valid reason.

Be Respectful

  • Treat others how you want to be treated. You should not ‘be an asshole’ just because.

  • Don’t spam others. People have lives outside of the game, please be respectful of that.

  • Do not Direct Message others without their permission.

No Recruiting / Advertising

  • You are not allowed to promote or advertise other servers within our spaces unless approved by staff.

  • This includes server invite links, YouTube links to other RP servers, etc.

  • This also includes streams unless you are a verified creator. If you want to get verified, just contact staff!

No real-world political RP

  • Discrimination, prejudice, or political content on real-world identities is strictly prohibited. This includes any real-world political issues regardless of the side that you are portraying.

    • This applies in all directions. You cannot play a victim of these issues, accuse other characters of them, or use them as a storyline device.

    • In-character bias and rivalry towards fictional in-game groups such as gangs, towns, factions, or professions is permitted as normal roleplay.

    • If you experience this behavior from another player, do not engage with them. Open a support ticket and staff will handle it.

Roleplay First

  • You must be in character at all times. Play through the scenario in front of you and report rule breaks after the scene has concluded.

    • If a rulebreak occurs during a scene, you are to not get ‘butthurt’ and immediately point it out mid-scene. This is considered FailRP.

    • Clip the rule break, submit a staff ticket, and we will handle it.

  • Reciprocate roleplay when it is presented to you. Grinding does not exempt you from this.

  • If you are committing a crime and the police interact with you, give them something to work with.

    • You are not required to comply with them, but you must engage with them.

  • Violence and being the victim are an expected part of roleplay. RP through it.

  • Do not let in-character events affect you as a player. What happens to your character does not affect you.

  • Do not cop bait.

Harassment

  • Harassing another player is strictly prohibited. This covers behavior directed at a player as a person, not their in-city character. This includes:

    • Sexual Harassment of any kind.

    • Continuing to contact a player via DM’s or OOC after they have made it clear that they do not want to hear from you.

    • Sending unsolicited DM’s with romantic or sexual intent to players you have met through RP.

    • Sustained intimidation of a player with the intent to drive them off the server.

    • No means no.

  • Aggressive roleplay between characters is not harassment and this rule cannot be used to avoid the consequences of your in-character actions. If you feel you are being harassed, please open a support ticket and staff will advise a path moving forward.

Toxicity

  • Toxic behavior is any conduct that creates a hostile, unfair, or unpleasant environment for other players. This includes but is not limited to:

    • Sustained or targeted abuse towards other players in OOC chat or other community platforms.

    • Deliberately griefing or acting in bad faith to ruin other players’ RP experience with no intent other than to cause frustration.

    • Malicious conduct towards staff, developers, or the server; Including targeted harassment, deliberately spreading mis-information, or coordinating efforts to damage the communities reputation.

  • Constructive criticism is welcome and encouraged, however, direct it to staff using the proper communication channels, not through public attacks on the community.

While you’re in the city

In-City Rules

No Exploiting

  • Do not exploit game mechanics or situations to gain an unfair advantage. If you stumble across something is broken or over-tuned, stop and report it to staff. This includes:

    • Combat logging to avoid RP situations.

    • Using the animation menu or any other mechanic to clip through walls, access locked areas, reach inaccessible locations, or eavesdrop on private conversations.

    • Using animations in combat to manipulate hit registrations, avoid being shot, or cancel a tazer / tackle.

    • Transferring money, items, or goods between your characters is not permitted in any form, including through third parties. Your characters do not know eachother.

    • No spam jumping during an RP scene to gain an advantage. This will be considered FailRP.

Respawn Mechanics

  • Respawning should always be a last resort. When EMS is online, always try to RP with them and give them a chance to respond to you. These are the only allowed situations for respawning:

    • There are no EMS online.

    • EMS is going to be tied up for a long period of time (i.e. 5+ minutes) and will not be able to reach you.

    • You are glitched and un-able to be reached by EMS or Police. This will be decided by EMS, not by you.

  • Using the respawn mechanic to avoid going to jail or being searched will result in punishment.

  • Following a player to the hospital after they respawned to continue or initiate conflict is strictly prohibited.

Green Zones

  • Conflict in and around government buildings (police stations, hospitals, city hall, etc.) must have a genuine RP foundation surrounding it.

    • Repeated low-effort breakouts, shootouts, and robbery with no prior story behind them will be considered FailRP.

    • Conflict that erupts from an active scene in the area is permitted.

    • Characters can only be broken out of jail while they are in route to the police station, or in-route to jail. You cannot break into the police station.

    • Do not flee to a green zone to avoid RP. This is considered FailRP.

Value your life

  • If you are held up or unarmed, you must surrender. The only exception is if your weapon is already drawn and the threat is directly in front of you.

    • This extends to the lives of those your character would value, including friends, hostages, and civilians in your care.

    • Characters may value their freedom, fleeing from police is permitted.

No metagaming

  • Metagaming is acting on information your character did not obtain through in-character roleplay. This includes information from streams, Discord, or any other OOC source.

    • Using information indirectly still counts. If your character would not have taken an action without outside knowledge, it is metagaming regardless.

    • Clout chasing is metagaming. Giving streamers special treatment, aid, or attention with no in-character reason is prohibited.

    • Streamers may not use their own chat to gain an advantage.

No Powergaming

  • Powergaming is removing another player’s ability to influence or respond to a situation. You must leave others with a way to react, even in hostile situations like robberies, kidnappings, or executions.

Metadumping

  • Do not dump large volumes of criminal information to police in one sitting. Information should be provided gradually through good RP.

  • Sharing criminal information OOC is strictly prohibited. This includes posting information in private Discords, forums, etc. All criminal knowledge must be learned in-character.

Random Deathmatch

  • You cannot attack or open fire on another player without prior verbal RP interaction or being actively initiated into combat first.

    • This includes drive-bys and using vehicles as weapons.

    • The other player must have an opportunity to respond and RP before you resort to violence.

No Vehicle Deathmatches

  • DO NOT use your vehicle as a weapon against another player.

    • The only exception to this is when it is the only way to escape, and staying would put your characters life at risk.

    • This does not apply to pre-arranged scenes.

    • Warlording is strictly prohibited. You cannot force a player into a downed state for execution style RP.

No stream sniping

  • Do not use a streamers broadcast to gain any information about their location, plans, or mechanics that would benefit you in-character.

    • Do not watch or actively engage in a stream while you are actively playing.

Player Limits

  • Civilian and criminal conflicts are capped at 6 players per side. Police may bring double that (12 cops).

    • Police response during heists and major crime events will be capped at 8 players. Additional cops may respond for special events.

    • Both parties may agree via OOC chat to waive the limit for a specific scene. Staff should know about it.

    • See gang rules for additional rules surrounding compounds and player limits.

Fail RP

  • If you openly distort the world for others through low-quality RP or obnoxious behavior, we reserve the right to remove you from the server.

    • Your characters appearance must meet a realistic and immersive standard.

    • Players who bring no discernable value to RP are subject to removal. This includes:

      • Win Mentality. You do not have to win every RP scene that you partake in.

      • Rushing game mechanics.

      • Excessive grinding and exploitation of scripts.

      • Shooter or combat only approach to RP.

Pocket Wiping

  • Do not take the majority of a players’ items when they are down or being robbed without RP justification.

  • Taking weapons or valuables is permitted. Stripping all items (food, water, and miscellaneous items) for no reason is simply griefing.

Endless Conflict

  • All conflicts must have a reasonable path to resolution.

  • Repeatedly engaging in conflicts that causes ongoing harm to yourself without attempting to end it is not valuing your life.

Convoys

  • A maximum of 3 vehicles may be used in a shootout. Police are exempt from this.

  • If a vehicle is disabled, you are allowed to steal a replacement.

  • Roaming the map in a convoy to chase down targets is FailRP.

Character Names

  • Your characters name must be unique, genuine, and original. You should not use the name of any real world celebrity, public figure, fictional character, or content creator.

  • Double entendre’s for names are also not allowed.

New Life Rule

  • What your character remembers after they are downed depends on how they were downed.

    • Knockout (melee): Full memory

    • Critical (gunshot wound or serious injury): Memory is fuzzy. You can recall some details of the scene, but no full identities or conversations.

    • Unconscious: No clear memory.

    • Respawn: You cannot remember anything about the last 30 minutes.

  • Permanent death is solely the choice of the player. All permanent death scenes must be approved by staff.

Looting

  • You may loot for up to 2 minutes after a shootout, or until police show up. Whichever is first.

    • Do not make others wait on you to loot.

    • If your life is in danger, do not loot, you must value your life.

    • Remaining on scene with multiple police present is considered FailRP.

Post Conflict

  • Do not trash talk, whine, or complain while downed.

  • If you are being treated or revived, you can respond accordingly.

Government Rules

  • Government roles inherently give powers to those that enforce the laws. Government player must still make an effort to counterplay wherever possible.

  • Using government authority to consistently target a single person or group without a solid RP foundation is considered FailRP.

  • Sabotaging your department for OOC reasons is FailRP. If you have an OOC issue, open a staff ticket.

  • Government corruption is not allowed. If you want to RP a corrupt character, you must open a ticket and get it approved by staff. These types of corruption are strictly prohibited regardless:

    • Providing false information for warrants, raids, or court cases.

    • Selling job related merchandise to players outside of that job.

Graphics Modifications

  • Modifications are allowed as long as they do not provide an advantage over other players.

  • This includes but is not limited to:

    • FOV enhancers

    • Sound modifications

    • Combat awareness enhancers

Bans and appeals

  • Ban appeals must be submitted through Discord. DO NOT contact staff directly about your ban.

    • The staff member initially involved with the ban will not handle the appeal.

    • Do not publicly stir up drama about your ban. Directly or indirectly. This includes posts, comments, conversations on any platform.
